Project Lochem III

In Lochem III I implemented an innovative solar energy project, aimed at sustainable energy generation in the vast fields of the region.

This project involved the installation of photovoltaic panels at strategic locations to capture maximum solar radiation and ensure efficient energy generation.

The aim of the project was to reduce the dependency on fossil fuels and create an environmentally friendly energy source that is both economically and ecologically beneficial. We used advanced technologies, such as smart inverters and a monitoring system, to optimize the performance of the solar panels and analyze energy consumption in real-time.

In addition, we worked with local communities and companies to raise awareness about renewable energy and involve them in the use of solar energy. This project not only contributes to the energy transition in Lochem, but also serves as a model for future sustainable initiatives in the region.

The Lochem PV system is built on a former landfill outside the city of Lochem in the Netherlands. The underlying electrical concept is based on string inverters with generator connection boxes and central transformer stations. Due to the overhead power lines that ran across the landfill, some areas had to be disregarded. With the help of Helios 3D, the sometimes very steep slope of the terrain could be taken into account very well and this led to different alignments and driving distances for optimal use of the space.

Scope of services: design planning, execution planning, construction supervision and quality assurance during construction, technical inspections, documentation/revision
